Car Detailing

NOTE: If you are roaming around in market for getting products, you will get list of products that is endless. You can narrow down the list by being specific what exactly you are looking up to and what quality of finish you are longing for.

You will need certain products for exterior cleaning including:

  •     CLEANER

  •    CLEANING SPONGES

  •    CLAY BAR

  •    LUBRICANTS

  •    SEALANTS

  •    CLEANERS FOR GLASS

After washing of the car, you even need to dry the cloth with slow patting using nay soft microfibre cloth. Coming down to washing process, you can break down the complete washing process into three different segments including:

  •    Rinsing
  •  Washing
  •   Drying

RINSING:

Before stepping towards the hard-core car detailing you first need to properly rinse the vehicle with proper mechanism and tools. Don’t go for anything normal as that can harm your car adversely. This rinsing is important for removing any obvious dirt and grimes from the panel surface. Don’t just focus over body parts but even go for thorough cleaning of wheels, wheel wells and tyres. Usually it happens that the dirt get collected in wheel wells and you are unaware of that. So this wells cleaning is important so as to protect the car from corrosion because when left damp for longer time it will surely degrade the metal body.

WASHING:

Once done with the thorough rinsing, comes the turn of washing with sponges. You can be a good player in washing if you work on better hacks including moving a wet sponge from top to down. Then segment your washing procedure as per the car parts like roof, bonnet, windows, side panels, tyres, wheels and wheel wells and many other. Washing is easy but can turn out to be crucial when edges cleaning comes. Be careful while moving through the edges as bit of carelessness can lead to either car hurting or you.  Even edges have the maximum stuck dirt so this will help in preventing the contamination of the sponge and avoid any further paint loss through marks and scratches. Thoroughly wash off all the surface without exerting enough pressure as said before it would ground in the car’s paint.

DRYING:

Here comes the need of microfibre cloth. When comes the turn of drying the car, the process should exactly be like washing. Starting from top and ending down. This movement of cloth will ease your work by getting a perfect direction. The two basics of drying include pulling and patting. In patting you need to shorten the cloth by folding it and pulling is spreading complete length of cloth on surface so as to pull of water smoothly.

Extra Tips for detailing preparation:

This blog even explains some extra tips for caring your car bit more and preparing it for coming days.

  •  Either use two to three microfibre cloth for drying the car off ensure that you regularly and properly ring out the cloth.

  •  Don’t go for excessive chemicals as it will lead to sure degrading cars look by hampering its paint.

  •   If using soap, don’t use more as even after thorough cleaning it will leave a cloudy mark over the car.
